Im trying to decide what Bowstring to buy, im thinking either Zealous, Vampiric or Poisoner's...What would you recommend?

I went ahead and put the vampiric on my bow, but now I am just losing 1 health per second and that just kinda stinks in my opinion. I have a zealous bowstring but Im not sure I want to apply that to the bow after wasting money on the vampiric. As a sidebar question is there anyway to nullify the loss of health when holding the bow because it seems you lose more life than you gain while fighting. Wish I could remove the bowstring without losing the bow somehow because I have a good bow but string isn't makin me happy!

I thought the -1 health was just -1 off your health regen, not actually off your health. So if you just equip the bow and stand there you could eventually die in battle, even if you arent being attacked? That sucks.

Amazing that people still have issues with this, I had found a vampiric weapon the first time Kryta was shown for the BWE and immediately figured the counter to health loss. Simply place up a new weapon set and switch out of it, even if you have no weapon. If you've ever used this before, equipment goes back into the inventory, which means it is disequipped and so you merely re-equip before moving back into battle, rather simple.

As for using a bow string, do not use vampiric on really anything but a Half Moon, or the other really fast bow type (not a ranger, forgot it), because most of them are too slow that you'll actually begin to lose health. Vampiric reduces health by an arrow, which for health equals two per second, if you are unable to regain that then it becomes useless.

If you dislike the string, simply purchase a new one and use it over that one, will overwrite with a little prompt telling you what will happen.
